Winthrop University has subscribed to the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) maintained at the University of Miami for provision of required training in the areas of Human Subject Research, The Care and Use of Animals in Research, Biosafety and Responsible Conduct of Research.
Instructions to complete CITI Compliance Training
Log on to the CITI website: http://www.citiprogram.org
You will begin the process by selecting "Register" under the Create an account in the blue box, top right hand corner
UserName and Password:
You will be asked to create a username and password.
Please understand that the SPAR Office will have access to this
information and you should not use a password that you also use for other
Make a note of your username and password!
You will be asked to affiliate with an Institution and you should select Winthrop University. Please note that there is a Winthrop University Hospital right after Winthrop University. Make sure you select the correct institution.
When indicating your First and Last Name, please use the name that will appear on protocol submissions you make to the IRB, IACUC and/or BioSafety Committees. Do not use nicknames, or shortened versions of your name.
Steps 1 through 7:
CITI has done an excellent job of streamlining the process of signing up for training. Just follow the steps and if you have any questions, give me a call.
Finalize Registration - at the conclusion of Step 7, you will be asked to finalize registration. Once you have finalized the registration, you will need to log into the system using the username and password that you have set up. Once you login, you will be able to access the training modules, according to the choices you made when you registered.
