Space Use Guidelines for the DiGiorgio Campus Center

When the space is approved, students will be required to go to the Information Services Desk on the 1st floor of the  Campus Center and check out a meeting room access card or ask to be let into the event space they have reserved.  Any reservation outside of normal operating hours must be approved by the Space Use Manager in advance and an extended hours fee may be charged; Campus Police will not unlock the building for events or meetings.

Facility Manager is not required during event but there is always one in the building during operational hours. Staff will be at events requesting A/V equipment in our event and programming venues.

A 24 hour notice is required for space cancellations.  There will be a cost to reimburse the DiGiorgio Campus Center for any no-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice at the Edge, Dina's Place, or the Richardson Ballroom that requires extra staff to set up or manage an event.  This charge will be based on the number of staff present and determined on an event by event basis by the Space Use Manager.

 

 

Special Instructions: NO OPEN FLAMES OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED IN THE BUILDING. NO MOVING OF THE FURNITURE. IF ADDITIONAL EXTENSION CORDS ARE USED, PLEASE GET PERMISSION PRIOR TO MEETING.  FOOD AND DRINK MUST HAVE PRIOR APPROVAL.   


Space Use Guidelines:

  • No tape on walls, floors or any painted surface.
  • Restore space back to its original set-up. Taping items to the walls is not permitted in campus buildings.
  • Extension cords and wiring to electrical appliances are to be taped down.
  • No burning candles or open flames are permitted in buildings except when using hurricane candleholders or votives, requires approval in advance.
  • Internal space users are responsible for cleaning up immediately after their event. Food scraps and other perishables are not to be left over night or weekend. If campus custodial cleans up after a student event, the student organization will be billed for labor services.
  • Internal users utilizing campus spaces should report facility or equipment damages to the Space Use Manager within twenty-hour (24) hours after an event, so as not to be held responsible.
  • Absolutely NO SMOKING in public buildings.

Groups/Clubs or Organizations are responsible for any damages to the building and/or equipment.
