How Convert Grades to Percentages

The only way to convert marks to percentages in the Manage Students tool is to create a separate, calculated column. An alternative is to download the Manage Students grades onto your computer and import into an Excel spread sheet.

• Go to Manage Students

• Under Actions, Organize, select Manage Columns and click Go

• Under Organize, click Add Column

• Next to Label ,add a label and next to Type, select Calculated

• Click Add

• Return to Manage Students

• Locate the newly created column and click the link titled Formula

• Locate the column for the quiz you wish to calculate the percentage and click Insert

• On the keypad, click the division symbol " / "

• Enter the total number of questions

• Click the asterisk symbol " * "

• Enter the number 100

• Be sure to decide whether or not to release this column to your students!

For example, if the quiz had 30 questions, the formula would look something like this:

[Quiz 1]/30*100
