Winthrop Family Weekend
The love story at
this comedy’s center brings Tony Kirby and his Wall Street parents
into hilarious collision with Alice Sycamore’s extended family of
free spirits, tinkerers and ne’er-do-wells. Visits by the FBI, the
IRS, actresses, and royalty also spark excitement in a household
already inhabited by snakes, fireworks, ballerinas, amateur
playwrights, xylophone players, and candy-makers. This Pulitzer
Prize-winning play is one of the classic screwball comedies of the
American theatre.

When Charlie Brown’s dog dies
from rabies, he begins to question the existence of an afterlife.
His best friend is too burnt out to provide any coherent
speculation. His sister has gone “goth.” His ex-girlfriend has
recently been institutionalized. His other friends are too
inebriated to give him any solace. A chance meeting with an
artistic kid, the target of his group’s bullying, offers Charlie
Brown peace of mind and sets in motion a friendship that will push
teen angst to the very limits. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders,
teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity collide and careen
toward an ending that’s both haunting and hopeful.

This montage of scenes is Neil
Simon’s humorous dramatization to Anton Chekhov’s genius as a short
story writer. The mix of sketches, vaudeville and old-fashioned
storytelling takes us into the mind of a writer striving to create
that great story that will make him one of Russia’s great authors.
Enjoy his imagination, hear his stories and laugh your pants off in
the process.

Another Pulitzer Prize-winning
masterpiece of the American theatre, it remains one of the
great American plays that still has the same power to move
audiences as it did at its 1947 premiere. Williams wrote
that the struggle between Stanley Kowalski and Blanche
DuBois represents “the ravishment of the tender, the
sensitive, the delicate, by the savage and brutal forces of
modern society.”

his path. The action begins in Don’s new apartment where he meets
his next-door neighbor, the free-spirited and wild Jill. As their
relationship develops, they encounter the serendipitous qualities of

The foremost mystery of
the world comes down to one simple thing that everyone has and
typically weighs about three pounds: the human brain. Many
interactions among humans provoke questions like, “Why do people do
the things they do?” In this performance, Avery, Gabby, Duke, and
Alyssa come face-to-face with the challenges of human development,
revealing the frailties that accompany the life experience.
