Precisionism and Beyond

Edmund Lewandowski (1914 - 1998) was
an influential precisionist painter and
art educator known for his images of
industrial, urban, and architectural subject
matter. As the former chair of the
Department of Art and Design at
Winthrop University from 1973 - 1984,
he was committed to Winthrop students
and the surrounding communities.
Winthrop University Galleries is excited to
exhibit the first major ever retrospective of
this artist's work organized by the
Flint Institute of Arts and curated by
Valerie Ann Leeds, Ph.D.

Inaugural 3-Day Festival to
celebrate and revel in all things art at the
Muse Fest November 11–13, 2010
in Old Town Rock Hill, SC.
 
Muse Fest was presented by the
Old Town Arts Group, a partnership between Gallery Up, City of Rock Hill,
Arts Council of York County,
Winthrop University,
Clinton Junior College, and
various visual and performing artists.
