House Calls matches resident students who need help in certain classes with tutors who can help them succeed in those classes.  House Calls provides tutors when and where they are needed the most - right in the residence halls.

The tutors you will meet with are not professors; they are students like you who have successfully completed the class with which you need assistance.  The setting you meet in is informal and relaxed. And it's easy to request an appointment.  Make sure the dates and times you request are within the hours of the House Calls program (see the schedule below).  We will let you know by email if and when we are able to schedule your tutoring session.  Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, it is imperative that you attend the appointment and arrive on time and prepared.  If you do not show up or arrive late, you may forfeit the ability to use the House Calls program in the future.

Please submit your request at least 48 hours before the time you wish to mee with a tutor.

Which class do you need assistance with?
If the class you need assistance with is not listed, please e-mail housecalls@winthrop.edu.  One of our tutors may be available to assist you in studying, but is not able to discuss course material.
If you have a specific tutor you would like to meet with, please list their name here.  (We will do our best to match).
Provide specifics about the assistance you are looking for (concepts, area within subject, type of assignment, etc.)?
Experience shows that tutoring in a group setting is often more effective.  If there are others who need help with the same topic, would you be willing to participate in a group tutoring session?
