The Undergraduate Research
Office is now accepting
abstracts for the Winthrop University 2013
Undergraduate Scholars' Book of Abstracts that will be
presented at the Undergraduate Scholars Reception on April
13, 2013.
Abstract Submission Policy:
Who may submit an abstract:
Any undergraduate who has engaged in
research (scholarly activity) during the 2012-2013 school year
(or preceding summer) or who presented their work at a
professional meeting and/or to the campus
community during that time.
We are also accepting abstracts for students who have
conducted exemplary work in classes that have
discipline-specific scholarship
activities (methods courses, research courses, etc.).
All abstracts must be submitted through a faculty member or
a Department Chair in the absence of a Winthrop faculty mentor.
Abstract Deadline Extended to: March 18, 2013
Size:
The abstracts are limited to a maximum of 350 words.
Please use the 12pt Times New Roman font.
Length:
The abstracts are limited to a maximum of 350 words and should
include:
a. Title: All capital letters and bold
b. Names of all authors cited for hte work presented at a
meeting and/or published in
a professional journal
c. Name and date of meeting and/or journal citation
d. Name of undergraduate student(s) and date of graduation
from Winthrop
e. Name of faculty mentor(s) and his/her department (for
honors thesis students
incldue the names of the honors
thesis committee members)
Submission:
All abstracts must be submitted using the
Submission Form.
