Spring Orientation

January 8, 2010

All freshmen, transfers and New Start students entering Winthrop in the spring 2010 semester should plan to attend Spring Orientation. During Spring Orientation, you will meet with academic advisors and register for classes.  You will also have the opportunity to meet current student leaders who can share their experiences and expertise with you on what to expect as a Winthrop student.

ADVISEMENT/REGISTRATION INFORMATION – NEW START STUDENTS (students who are 25 or older)

There are two advisement/registration opportunities for students who will enroll in the spring semester.

  1. Students who are admitted by November 24 can participate in early advisement and registration which will be held December 7-11.  Registration materials will be mailed from the student services office in each academic college (see below.)  NOTE:  students cannot register online for the December advisement sessions.
  1. Students who are admitted after November 24 or who are unable to attend an advisement session in December will be advised during Spring Orientation which will be held on January 8, 2010  Registration materials will be mailed from the Office of Orientation and New Student Programs beginning in early December.

ADVISEMENT/REGISTRATION INFORMATION – FRESHMAN AND TRANSFER STUDENTS

All freshmen, transfers, and New Start students who did not participate in early advisement should plan to attend Spring Orientation on January 8, 2010.  During Spring Orientation, you will meet with academic advisors and register for classes.  You will also have the opportunity to meet current student leaders who can share their experiences and expertise with you on what to expect as a Winthrop student.
