Description:

             The National Order of Omega was founded at the University of Miami.  The purpose is to recognize

             those students who have attained a high standard of leadership in inter-Greek activities. New

             members are selected semi-annually and the semester’s recipients will be announced at the Greek

             Week Awards Night. The number of students selected to membership in any one given year shall

             not exceed 3% of the total number of full-time Greek undergraduate students.

Eligibility:

  1. Must have completed one full year at Winthrop University

  2. Must have Junior or Senior standing

  3. Minimum 2.93 Cumulative GPA

  4. Must be in good standing with national organization and local chapter

 Criteria:

  1. Exemplary character

  2. Outstanding scholarship

  3. Outstanding Greek involvement

  4. Outstanding service to the campus and the community
