Campus Dining FAQs
What are the advantages of Café Cash? Café Cash eliminates the need to carry cash around campus. It is stored on the University ID so it is safe and convenient. Since Café Cash is part of the University meal plan program, purchases made with Café Cash are not taxed so each transaction is 6-8% less than cash or credit card purchases.
What are my choices if my Café Cash runs low? Add more! Each time a purchase is made the cashier can tell the patron what the account balance is. Café Cash can be added on-line using Visa or MasterCard. There is a link to add Café Cash on the Dining Services website at www.winthrop.edu/dining. Or you may call the office of Dining Services at 803-323-2119.
What happens to unused Café Cash points if they aren’t used during the semester? Café Cash points remaining at the end of fall semester transfer to the spring semester. Unused Café Cash points remaining at the end of spring semester are non-refundable and are forfeited on June 30.
