On Wednesday February 17, 2010, social work majors from all social work programs in the state will be participating in a special program focusing on the state legislative process. This event will be held in Columbia from 8:30am to 3:30pm. This activity is an important part of the educational process involved with learning policy practice which is one of the expected outcomes of the major.

          I would appreciate consideration be given by you that would allow social work students who have a class from you during that time period to be able to participate in this event without suffering dire academic consequences.
