Excuse for Missing Class

MEMORANDUM
TO:
FROM: Ron Green, Chair
RE: Social Work Student Legislative
Day
DATE: March 9, 2009
On
Tuesday April 7, social work majors from all social work programs in the
state will be participating in a special program focusing on the state
legislative process. This event will be held in Columbia from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
This activity is an important part of the educational process involved with
learning policy practice which is one of the expected outcomes of the major.
I would appreciate consideration be
given by you that would allow social work students who have a class from you
during that time period to be able to participate in this event without
suffering dire academic consequences. If more information would be helpful I
can be reached at “greenr” or at 2168.
Thank you.
