South Carolina Campus Compact | Become a Member

Thank you for your interest in joining the South Carolina Campus Compact. South Carolina Campus Compact is a growing coalition of colleges and universities committed to the promotion of community service, service-learning, and civic engagement.

Membership in South Carolina Campus Compact is open to the president and chancellors of all regionally or nationally accredited institutions and systems of higher education in South Carolina interested in joining with others who have committed to fostering “engaged campuses.” A president or chancellor can join at any time during the year.

To become an SCCC member institution:

    1. The president or chancellor should write a letter expressing interest on the part of their institution to the South Carolina Campus Compact.

    2. Each institution pays annual membership dues. Membership dues provide critical support to develop and sustain the state-wide network. Dues for those joining during the course of an academic year may be prorated.

    3. The President or Chancellor appoints someone to serve as Primary Contact for SC Campus Compact who will receive information, publications, and any other communications directly from SC Campus Compact. After joining, additional contacts (community service directors, key faculty, grants administrators, etc.) from member campuses will be requested by SCCC to ensure information will be shared with others so that a campus can receive all benefits associated with membership.

South Carolina Campus Compact has many benefits to offer its member constituents. Members of South Carolina Campus Compact also receive membership with the national Campus Compact.
