Academic Program Review

Academic Program Review (APR) is a three-stage process. The first stage of APR is the development of a written Internal Self-Study that occurs at the program level and should involve all program faculty as well as support personnel. The second stage of APR involves a review of the Internal Self-Study and an on-site visit by the external team who interview students, faculty, administrators and support staff associated with the program. A written External Team Report is submitted recognizing the strengths of the program and suggesting recommendations for improvement. The third stage of APR is the development of an Action Plan by the college Dean and program representatives identifying major objectives of the program, the plan for achieving those objectives and a timeline for their completion.  Detailed information on each stage of the APR process and document outlines are available in the Academic Program Review Guidelines.
