South Carolina State Ethics Act (Nepotism)
The State Ethics, Government Accountability and Campaign Reform Act was enacted in October, 1991, to restore public trust in governmental institutions and the political governmental processes. The State applies to all public officials, public members and public employees of the State and political subdivisions, with the exception of members of the judiciary. Probate judges, candidates for public office and committees or groups working on behalf of candidates are also covered by the law.Please see full policy for additional information at policy link 1.
