Applications for the following positions will be accepted in Fall '09:

• Psi Chi Treasurer
• Psychology Club Publicity Chair
• Psi Chi/Psychology Club Web Master

To be eligible to apply for Psi Chi, a student must:

• Be a psychology major or minor
• Have completed at least 3 semesters of college, with at least 1 semester completed at Winthrop
• Have completed at least 9 hours of psychology courses
• Be in the top 35% of one’s class, which translates to having a cumulative grade point average around 3.2 (exact cut-offs vary from year to year)
• Have a grade point average of at least 3.2 in all psychology courses taken

Psi Chi Application requirements:

• Completed application form, including both registration cards
• Copies of transcripts from all colleges attended (unofficial copies are acceptable)
• One-time membership fee of $55.00 ($35.00 goes to the National Office, and $20.00 goes to the Winthrop Chapter) – make checks payable to ‘Psi Chi.’
• Submission of application to Dr. Sleigh (Kin 124) or Dr. Hayes (Kin 120) by 2 pm on Oct. 3^rd.

Psychology Club Membership Requirements

• Any Winthrop student with an interest in Psychology is eligible for membership in the Psychology Club.

Congratulations to our students who competed in the Statewide Psychology Bowl. We have placed well during the last several competitions and won in 2003.
