| The Winthrop Chamber Orchestra, directed by Tom Hildreth, provides its members with the opportunity to learn about and perform music written for a chamber group composed primarily of stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello and double bass). The ensemble performs music in a wide variety of styles ranging from Baroque to Contemporary and everything in between. Membership is open to any Winthrop student who plays a stringed instrument, as well as to members of the community (by audition) who would like to participate.
