Welcome to Winthrop and to the Homepage of the Department of Modern Languages.  We offer classes in five languages—Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.  Students can complete a major in French or Spanish or minor in French, German or Spanish.  In addition, teacher certification programs are available in French and Spanish.  If you are interested in graduate studies, we offer an M.A. in Spanish.
