SWAT (Student Wellness Advocacy Team)

SWAT is a peer education group that seeks to raise awareness, increase knowledge, and advocate within the student community regarding health and wellness issues.  Responsibilities include learning up-to-date information and methods, learning how to convey information to others, and ultimately educating peers about these issues in a non-judgmental, interactive manner.

An awesome SWAT member will have outstanding leadership skills and have enthusiasm about what they are learning. They will be an effective communicator and have a passion for knowledge and enlightening other Winthrop Students. A SWAT member will be committed and dedicated to what they are teaching.
