Meet a Student
• Every vote counts. The election for an alumni representative to the Winthrop Board of Trustees is underway, and once again the voting is available online. Those who are not already members of the new online community, www.winthropalumni.com, will need a 7-digit constituent I.D., which can be obtained by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are currently a member of the new online community, login and make your candidate selection.
• Mark your calendar. If you were formerly involved in a club or organization and would like to establish an alumni affinity group or plan a reunion, please visit the affinity groups page for more information.
• Register today for reunion. Classes of 1935, 1940, 1945, 1950, 1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, and 1975 are invited to return to campus for Alumni Reunion Celebration 2010 held May 14-15. Reunion packets were mailed in early February so register today to take advantage of the early registration discount. For event information, please visit the alumni Web site. If you are a member of the class of 1960, please read a letter from Rosa Thornton Cherry ’60 requesting your participation in the Mini-Tatler project.
• Reconnect with your classmates. Now alumni can create a personalized home page within the recently launched alumni online community, including news feeds, social media applications and other embedded widgets. The community also includes added functionality with Facebook Connect, a utility that links your community account with your Facebook profile. To join the online community, alumni need a seven-digit constituent I.D. number found on most alumni mailings. If you need your alumni I.D., please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 1-800-578-6545 or send an e-mail to email@example.com.
