Winthrop Ambassadors

The Winthrop Ambassadors are student volunteers who serve as campus hosts for the Office of Admissions. Their most visible role is serving as tour guides for prospective students and their families who visit the campus. If you'd like to schedule a personalized campus tour led by a Winthrop Ambassador, visit our online Campus Visit Request Form.

 • The holiday break will provide a great opportunity to complete and submit an application for admission. All freshman applicants who are admitted and meet the minimum criteria will receive a scholarship. To receive an award, a completed application must be received by the Office of Admissions by March 1.The complete application for admission will include the application form, application fee, official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores. • Want to take another look at Winthrop? First Look Friday provides a glimpse into the life of a Winthrop student. The visit includes a tour of campus, lunch in the cafeteria and sitting in on a class. Students also have opportunities to speak with current students, faculty and their personal admissions counselor to learn more about the Winthrop experience.

Or check out Preview Days, which provide an in-depth view of academic and campus life at Winthrop and are held on Saturdays. Faculty, staff and students are available from academic and student life areas to answer questions. The schedule also includes a student-guided tour of the campus and a tour of a sample residence hall room.
