* Wonder what the weather is like on the Winthrop campus? You can find

in Bancroft Hall, facing north toward Byrnes Auditorium.
* Winthrop has a long tradition of public art and design starting back
to the university’s first president, D.B. Johnson. Today, Winthrop
supports an innovative program that gives art and design students
ongoing opportunities to create temporary and permanent installations for the
university’s public spaces. If you are interested in seeing what

for the new Lois Rhame West Health, Physical Education and
Wellness Center will be on Nov. 12. The $21.6 million center is
named for Winthrop alumna and former South Carolina First Lady
Lois West, who earned her degree in physical education at
Winthrop in 1943. |
