Ten Alumni Classes
to Relive “Golden Days”
The Alumni Relations office and
individual reunion committees are putting the final touches on plans
for the 2004 Alumni Reunion Celebration, to be held on campus April
23-24. Alumni from 10 classes (1929, ‘34, ’39, ’44, ’49, ’54, ’59,
’64, ‘69 and ’74) will gather for an unforgettable weekend of events
and fun-filled reminiscing with former classmates.

Iraq One Year Later
If Major David C. Andersen `86 needed
reassurance about the American military’s
invasion of Iraq a year ago,
he needed not look any further than the faces of Iraq’s children.

Marine Corps forces deployed in 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Commemorates Brown v. Board 50th Anniversary
This spring marks the 50th anniversary
of the landmark legal case Brown v. Board of Education, which declared
school segregation unconstitutional on May 17, 1954. Winthrop is
commemorating the anniversary through a variety of educational events
that began in February and will continue through April.
