What is Phonathon?

Each year, 25 Winthrop students come together to build support for the Winthrop Fund. All money raised during the Phonathon directly supports the efforts of the Winthrop Fund, most importantly student scholarships, faculty awards, and the Alumni Association.

Scheduling & Hours

The Phonathon meets nightly Monday through Thursday, from 5:45 to 9:15 p.m., to call Winthrop alumni and parents. The primary goal is to increase alumni participation and connect alumni and parents to current events on Winthrop's campus.

Who are the Callers?

Student callers strongly believe in Winthrop and its mission. In fact, many of our callers are scholarship recipients. Callers not only ask alumni and parents for their support of the Winthrop Fund, but the callers also thank them for the excellent education they receive!
