Library InstructionThe instruction program is designed to acquaint patrons with the physical layout of the library and to introduce them to the basic facilities, services, and resources available to meet their information needs. A Virtual Tour is available through Dacus Library Online and will help new patrons quickly learn the fundamentals of using the library. All Writing 101 classes come to the library for one session of instruction in the beginning stages of their research projects. The library faculty are also available to present lectures and demonstrations on the use of subject specific resources to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and other patrons. To arrange a presentation, please contact the Coordinator of Library Instruction at least one week prior to the proposed date of the class. Any student needing library instruction should contact the Reference Desk at 803-323-4501, e-mail, or IM/Chat . Desired Outcomes:
