Description: Gaye Adegbalola is a Blues Award Winner (the W.C. Handy Award) and founding member of Saffire- The Uppity Blues Women. She plays guitar and harmonica and is a composer. Between solo/Saffire CD's she has released 10 CDs on Alligator Records. In addition to solo musical shows, she presents on the History of Women in the Blues and is a civil rights activist.
